FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- ADAMSTOWN, MD — Graduation season is approaching. And across the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metro areas, an unexpected trend is emerging: families and event planners are choosing immersive experience properties over traditional party venues.
The reason is simple: these properties combine overnight accommodations, entertainment, and event space in one location — eliminating the logistical complexity and cost fragmentation of booking multiple vendors.

Multi-generational birthday celebrations benefit from spaces that work for both the celebrant's peers and their children or grandchildren. Escape rooms and scavenger hunts keep younger guests engaged while adults gather in banquet halls and lounges.
Significant anniversaries and retirement parties often involve large guest lists spanning multiple generations. The properties provide formal spaces for ceremonial moments alongside casual areas for extended socializing and memory-making.
Wizard's Escape Castle
At 7,500 square feet, the Castle is designed for large-scale milestone events. The Greatest Hall seats up to 30 guests for formal dinners. Two immersive escape rooms, a castle-wide scavenger hunt, a full game room, and an 18-hole Wizard's Disc Golf course provide hours of built-in entertainment.
Wizard's Dark Manor Escape
The newest property in the collection, the Dark Manor spans over 5,000 square feet of gothic fantasy. Its dramatic Banquet Hall and atmospheric Cauldron Tavern create a distinctive setting for milestone celebrations seeking something beyond traditional aesthetics. Hidden passages, a 12-foot indoor slide, and a Dungeon Escape Room add unique entertainment elements.

Wizard's Forbidden Hut Escape
The Forbidden Hut offers a more intimate celebration setting while maintaining the collection's signature integrated entertainment approach. Two themed escape adventures, a Dragon Egg scavenger hunt, a dedicated Game Hut, and six creature-themed bedrooms create a cozy yet engaging environment for smaller milestone celebrations.
Located in Frederick County's Adamstown area — approximately 50 miles from Washington, D.C. and 40 miles from Baltimore — the properties serve the broader Mid-Atlantic region. Guests traveling from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the District of Columbia find the location accessible for weekend celebrations without requiring extensive travel.
Properties can be booked individually for celebrations of 12-20 guests, or combined for larger events requiring accommodations for 30 or more attendees.
