ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 4, 2026) ~ Annapolis, MD - As the annual Preakness Stakes approaches, Marylanders and visitors are invited to get an up-close look at one of the state's most beloved traditions. On Sunday, May 10, 2026, as part of the Preakness Festival, select horse farms across Maryland will open their doors to provide a behind-the-scenes experience of where some of the state's current and future champion equestrians are born and raised.
The Maryland Department of Agriculture's Maryland Horse Industry Board is extending an invitation to fans and visitors of the state's deep-rooted horse racing tradition for a free, self-guided tour from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on May 10th.
