BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- The Foundation for Educational Development, Inc. (FEDI) proudly announces the support of U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen for the expansion of STEM City Baltimore, an innovative workforce development initiative focused on artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, advanced computing, and emerging technologies for students and veterans across Maryland.
As part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations requests, Senator Van Hollen included funding support for FEDI to provide "hands-on training in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and advanced computing for high school and college students, and veterans, preparing participants for careers in aerospace research, satellite systems, and advanced technologies."
The initiative builds upon FEDI's long-standing mission to "empower professionals to motivate, educate, and mentor future generations of diverse STEM leaders." Through STEM City Baltimore, FEDI and Career Communications Group are creating a next-generation digital learning ecosystem that combines immersive classrooms, AI-powered learning environments, mentorship, and workforce development programming.
