Former MWA Member‑At‑Large and current Co‑Chair of the Statewide Poetry Contest presents "Writing Winning Suspense Romance" to an engaged PG County audience
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. - Marylandian -- On Wednesday evening, the Prince George's County Chapter of the Maryland Writers' Association (MWA) welcomed Deliah ("Dee") Lawrence—attorney, award‑winning author, former MWA Member‑At‑Large, and current Co‑Chair of the MWA Poetry Contest—for a special presentation of her craft course, "Writing Winning Suspense Romance."
Although the chapter typically hosts speaker events on the second Tuesday of each month, Lawrence generously agreed to an alternative make-up date for the chapter. The result was a dynamic session filled with craft insights, lively discussion, and practical guidance for writers blending romance and suspense into market‑ready fiction.
Writers from Prince George's County attended, eager to learn from Lawrence's expertise in building tension, crafting believable romantic arcs, and structuring plots that keep readers turning pages. Her presentation was met with enthusiasm and gratitude.
