A Nationwide Animal Abuse Registry has been created by Las Vegas resident, John Waudby, who was also instrumental in getting the recently passed Reba's Law signed into law in Nevada. Reba's Law was created in memory after the horrific murder of Reba, the English bulldog in Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS - Marylandian -- Waudby, the founder of Nevada Animal Advocates, developed and launched a statewide animal abuse registry for his home state of Nevada in the fall of 2025 and then set his sights on launching a Nationwide registry for those have been convicted of animal related offenses across the United States. Waudby has paid for, out of his own pocket, the costs to develop, launch and maintain both the Nevada and Nationwide registries. He states, "more needs to be done, a lot more if we're going to protect our animals." Waudby hopes to change that with the Nationwide animal abuse registry.

Waudby states the U.S. Paw Registry will be built from public records from agencies that have released information on convicted animal abusers, other maintained registries, court records and other verified news sources.
The U.S. Paw Registry also has a submission form where visitors can Submit an Offender to have a convicted person(s) added to the registry. To protect an individual's right to due process, Waudby states that all submissions will be verified against court records before anyone is listed on the Abuse Registry.
