ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 21, 2025) ~ Annapolis, MD - As educators prepare to return to the classroom, they now have a valuable resource at their disposal. Welcome to Your Watershed, an interactive environmental science platform, has been made available for free on the popular educational website Thinkport. This initiative, launched by the Maryland Department of Agriculture and Maryland Public Television (MPT) in May 2024, is now in its second year.
Geared towards students in grades 3-5 and 6-8, Welcome to Your Watershed offers a multimedia collection of engaging lessons on the water cycle, the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and the importance of preserving natural resources. Through this platform, students will gain a deeper understanding of how water cycles throughout our planet and learn about factors that impact its movement. They will also explore the Chesapeake Bay watershed and recognize the significance of protecting and preserving our state's natural resources.
