Co-Authors Share Insights from Awakenings, New Beginnings, and Learnin' Lessons
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Marylandian -- DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. announces that authors Allen L. Brooks (A.L. Brooks) and Jamie R. Hatcher (J.R. Hatcher), known by his pen name TBI Guy, appeared on The Life With Joey Calvo Show on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Broadcasting live from the PhillyCAM studios in Olde City Philadelphia and simulcasting on PhillyCAM TV and WPPM-LP, the episode spotlighted the co-authors' impending book release, Awakenings, New Beginnings, and Learnin' Lessons — a TBI Guy's Learnin' Lessons adult title. During the interview, Brooks and Hatcher discussed how they met, the book's inspiration, and what readers can expect from this disability‑awareness resource.
ABOUT AWAKENINGS, NEW BEGINNINGS, AND LEARNIN' LESSONS
Awakenings, New Beginnings, and Learnin' Lessons is a co-authored adult nonfiction title combining traumatic brain injury (TBI) awareness with therapeutic renderings and TBI Guy's real-life case‑in‑point scenarios. Each of the ten chapters features a structured learning framework: a case study from a real TBI event, followed by Q&A, helpful hints for friends and family, and a therapeutic session exploring clinical elements from a professional perspective.
