Celestial Manna® Establishes Branch Locations in Nevada

DERWOOD, Md. , May 15, 2023 ~ Erin Koch has been making a difference in the Las Vegas area for the past four years. After eight years of working with Celestial Manna, a food rescue network, Koch moved to Las Vegas and began serving those in need at Nellis Air Force Base.

Koch then discovered the town of Indian Springs, home to Creech Air Force Base, which is over 30 miles from Las Vegas and has limited access to fresh, healthy food. With her partner Heather White, Koch used her experience with Celestial Manna to form a partnership with Three Square Food Bank and open a physical food pantry.

The pantry distributes over 35,000 pounds of food every month to Indian Springs, Nellis Air Force Base and the local homeless community. In addition to what Koch rescues from grocery stores and restaurants, Three Square Food Pantry also delivers food weekly to her distribution site in Indian Springs.

Celestial Manna serves over 250 families a month in the Las Vegas area thanks to the dedication of volunteers like Koch, White, Carolann Di Stasio and Brenda Lufholm. The team provides underserved populations with nutritious rescue food and looks forward to what the future may hold.
