GLEN BURNIE, Md., May 8, 2025 ~ Glen Burnie, Md. - In a resounding show of solidarity, warehouse workers at the Toyota distribution center in Glen Burnie have voted to ratify a new three-year collective bargaining agreement. The workers, represented by Teamsters Local 570, voted with an overwhelming 97 percent majority in favor of the new contract.
The agreement, which was negotiated by the union's negotiating team, includes significant benefits for the workers. It secures a 24 percent wage increase over the life of the contract and boosts pension contributions. Additionally, it protects an excellent fully employer-paid health care plan and enhances paid time off.
According to Sean Cedenio, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 570, this vote sends a clear message to Toyota that their workers will not settle for anything less than the dignity and respect they deserve. "Our members have earned this through their hard work and dedication," he stated.
