Known for her signature mission of #MakingSocialWorkFunAgain, Dr. Renetta delivered a presentation on artificial intelligence that wasn't just a lesson, it was a moment. "The slides were fine, but the videos didn't load. And guess what? I didn't need 'em," said Dr. Renetta. "I know these tools so well, I could teach them with no tech at all. And the feedback was amazing. This is what transformation looks like in real time."

Her message was clear: you don't have to be a tech expert to use AI. You just have to be willing.

"It's not about the technology, it's about the transformation. I'm not a techie. I'm a clinician. But I use AI every day to save time, reduce stress, and serve my clients better. And I'm teaching others how to do the same."

Throughout her session, Dr. Renetta reminded attendees that AI is not the enemy. It's a tool, and tools don't replace people, especially not in social work.

"AI won't take our clients. Rapport builds relationships. That's always been our strength, and that's what we focus on first, both with people and with tech."

Her powerful call to action:

"If we call ourselves change agents, we need to stop sitting on the sidelines of change. We've got to lead it."

Dr. Renetta's biggest concern is that Black and Brown clinicians will be left behind in the AI wave if we don't start engaging now.

"Twenty years ago, folks were nervous about the internet. Now we can't live without it. AI is the new wave, and I'm making sure nobody who looks like me gets left behind."
