SALISBURY, Md. - Marylandian -- Chesapeake Health Care is pleased to announce that Susan Ferrell, LMSW, has joined its Behavioral Health team as a Mental Health Therapist.
Ferrell brings extensive experience in social services, behavioral health, and community support, along with a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Salisbury State University and recently completed her Master of Social Work studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Prior to joining Chesapeake Health Care, Ferrell served as a Behavioral Aide and MSW Intern at Maple Shade Youth & Family Services in Mardela Springs, where she supported counseling services, documented client treatment information, assisted with therapeutic activities, and worked under the supervision of licensed clinical professionals.

Throughout her career, Ferrell has served children, families, and individuals across the Eastern Shore in a variety of roles, including positions with Somerset County Department of Social Services, SHORE UP Head Start & Early Head Start, and Worcester County Developmental Center. Her experience includes case management, family support, client advocacy, behavioral health services, and connecting community members with critical resources and support systems.
