HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Marylandian -- In a bold step forward for independent publishing and cultural storytelling, Pain 2 Prosperity Publishing (P2PP) is proud to announce the addition of three dynamic team members whose expertise, lived experience, and commitment to purpose-driven narratives will help shape the future of literature that heals.
The new additions reflect the company's deep-rooted mission: transforming pain into purpose through authentic publishing that uplifts Black and brown voices and centers stories that matter.
"This isn't just about books. It's about liberation through language, healing through storytelling, and creating literary legacies," said Pharice Brown, Founder of Pain 2 Prosperity Publishing. "Each new team member carries that vision forward with power and grace."
Meet the new members of this movement:
Alexander Forston – Literary Agent & Writer (Indiana)
Alexander joins the team with a sharp eye for story development and a heart for amplifying voices that often go unheard. A staunch advocate for authentic expression, he specializes in guiding both new and established authors in finding a literary home that honors their truth.

Travis Harman, MFA – Doctoral Student at Wilkes University & Memoirist
A 13-year U.S. Army veteran, Travis brings a unique blend of emotional intelligence and literary rigor to the team. His memoir Remote Outpost, a finalist for the Annie Dillard Creative Nonfiction Award, stands as a testimony to the strength found in vulnerability. Travis's background bridges experience and expression, making him a cornerstone for memoir and nonfiction work at P2PP.
Jeremy Smith – Editor & World Explorer
From Michigan's Upper Peninsula to global landscapes, Jeremy's editorial vision is shaped by the richness of cultural nuance and quiet observation. His work reflects a deep respect for the journey behind every manuscript, reminding us that a well-told story knows no borders.
Together, they represent more than new hires, they represent a cultural shift in publishing. With deep roots in advocacy, creativity, and healing, this team is poised to guide a new generation of storytellers toward their literary breakthroughs.
