BOWIE, Md. - Marylandian -- Maryland musician Alicia Greene will release her fifth studio album, Melodies of the Heart, in early July 2022. It will feature 15 all-new classical compositions. The album is a departure from her usual electronic style of music. Melodies of the Heart may be an instrumental album, but it certainly feels like an instrumental play.

This album weaves the tale of love, heartbreak, turmoil, and triumph. Aria, the protagonist, is heartbroken by the swift abandonment of her paramour when she finds an enchanted music box encased in gold in the rose garden that takes her on a musical journey. Her curiosity quickly turns to sadness when "The Music Box," containing a porcelain cherub, is opened, and it magically plays her true feelings through the song "Broken Symphony."  Inside, she finds a secret invitation to a summer solstice ball. Upon arrival, she quickly becomes enthralled at the sight of a mysterious stranger, whom she nicknames in the song "The Conductor." Her deep attraction or infatuation is revealed and becomes apparent in the song "Sweet Rhapsody." Entranced, she begins to form a deep bond with him in the following whimsical rhythmic tracks "Intune," "Rise Fall Rest," "Harmony in Bloom," and "This Heart of Mine." Once blissfully dancing, her former flame appears unannounced and demands she leaves with him. Upon seeing him, she becomes so angry that the darkness inside her emerges and starts to take shape. A supernatural being suddenly appears and transforms him into an inanimate object and quickly disappears in the song "Dark Melodies." unaffected, She resumes dancing with the stranger and fantasizes about their life together in the songs "Unwritten Notes," "All the Right Chords," and "Perfect Pitch." The song "Enchanted Dance" is played when sparks begin to fly between the two lovebirds, and becomes even more intense in the song "Upbeat Tempo." In the end, Aria triumphs over love in the song "Once upon an Aria."
