HOLLYWOOD, Calif. & NEW YORK & LONDON & TOKYO, Japan - Marylandian -- In "Under Your Spell," Sidow Sobrino has given himself a new title. He is The Supreme Sorcerer, the imperious center of a strange royal court, possessed of an empire and nearly everything that comes with one. What he does not have is an heir.

That absence provides the premise for a music video preoccupied with succession, attraction and the theater of authority. Set in Miami Beach, Florida, but filmed along the coastline of Laguna Beach, California, "Under Your Spell" begins its mythology with a séance. Forces from above and below are summoned, and a succession of beauties enters the Sorcerer's realm, each hoping to captivate its ruler and carry the child destined for his empire.

Beauty, in this universe, is plentiful. Worthiness is considerably more elusive.

The person closest to the throne is Balthazar, the Royal Butler, played by Sobrino's husband, Richard. More confidant than servant, Balthazar assists in his master's search. Richard also contributes background vocals to the recording, extending the partnership from screen to track.
