BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- The Outer Rim Science Fiction Film Festival, Baltimore's emerging hub for independent science fiction cinema, successfully completed its Season 3 showcase, featuring films from 10 countries, incredible filmmaker Q&As, and rich, cerebral panels for the community.

The festival drew attendees from throughout Baltimore, the DMV, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, as well as filmmakers from Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland, and film producers from Canada.

The lineup included world premieres and several regional premieres. In all, a last-minute $99 festival pass gave attendees access to over 30 films, 3 panels, free popcorn, a free T-shirt, a program, and the chance to network with some of the most innovative science fiction filmmakers in the industry.

Sci-fi comedy and sci-fi romance made up half the festival — one film drew nonstop laughter from the audience throughout its runtime.

Labile stunned audiences with its hard sci-fi story, closing with an end screen of scientific citations supporting the plausibility of its not-so-distant-future premise.

Regional Premiere — Time Helmet delivered non-stop hilarious performances from Peter New and Camryn MacDonald, both of whom took home awards.
