DENVER - Marylandian -- Michael H. Kaplan, Esq., of Kaplan Morrell, LLC, recently testified on behalf of the Workers' Compensation Education Association before the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation and its Director, advocating for injured workers who require in-home care following serious workplace injuries.

The Workers' Compensation Education Association is a leading advocacy organization for injured workers in Colorado. Kaplan's testimony focused on protecting access to necessary in-home care for workers whose injuries are severe enough that they may be unable to manage basic daily activities or aspects of their medical care independently.

These cases involve some of the most seriously injured individuals in Colorado's workers' compensation system. For these workers and their families, access to appropriate in-home assistance can directly affect their ability to recover, remain safely at home, and receive the care required as a result of a workplace injury.
