Maryland Farm & Harvest Visits Locations in Anne Arundel, Carroll, Charles, and Prince George’s Counties During March 18 Episode

ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 13, 2025) ~ Annapolis, MD - Maryland Public Television's original series, Maryland Farm & Harvest, is back for its 12th season and will be featuring farms and locations in Anne Arundel, Carroll, Charles, and Prince George's counties in its upcoming episode premiering on Tuesday, March 18. Viewers can get a sneak peek of the episode on the series' webpage at mpt.org/farm.

The popular weekly series airs on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on MPT-HD and can also be streamed online at mpt.org/livestream. For those who miss the live broadcast, episodes are available to watch on demand using the free PBS app or MPT's online video player.

Maryland Farm & Harvest takes viewers on a journey across the state to showcase the farms, people, and technology that make up Maryland's number one commercial industry - agriculture. The series aims to tell engaging and enlightening stories about the hard work and dedication required to sustain and grow agriculture in the Free State.

The March 18 episode will kick off with introductions filmed at Church View Farm in Millersville (Anne Arundel County). From there, viewers will be taken on a tour of three different farms in Carroll County, Anne Arundel County, and Charles and Prince George's counties.

First up is R F Warner Sons Grain Mill in Lineboro (Carroll County). This family-owned mill has been operating for over 90 years and is currently run by third-generation owners Allen and Kate Warner. Through conversations with the couple and their customers, viewers will learn about their commitment to quality and service that has sustained the local mill for nearly a century. As they approach retirement age, Allen and Kate hope to see the mill continue with or without them at the helm.

Next up is Knightongale Farm in Harwood (Anne Arundel County), where owner Joel Greenwell Sr. has been hosting an annual Farm Festival for the past 20 years. What started as a small side hustle has now become a big business that not only supports the 90-acre working farm but also contributes to local community initiatives. Joel's experience is a prime example of the growing trend in farming and agrotourism.

The episode will also feature Chef Shalia Coburn, owner of Chef B Meals, who takes viewers on a journey from farm to skillet. She sources her ingredients from Zekiah Farms in Waldorf (Charles County) and Miller Farms in Clinton (Prince George's County) before preparing a delicious hanger steak dish with fresh seasonal produce. Since its debut in 2013, Maryland Farm & Harvest has attracted over 19 million viewers on the statewide public TV network. The series has visited more than 500 farms, fisheries, and other agriculture-related locations across all Maryland counties, as well as Baltimore City and Washington D.C.
