Bangalore-based AI team to strengthen Ascendr's product and engineering capabilities for enterprise decision systems
MT. AIRY, Md. - Marylandian -- Ascendr, Inc., a Maryland-based decision intelligence company, today announced that it has acquired Deepturn Solutions Private Limited, an AI services and product development company headquartered in Bangalore, India.
Deepturn will become part of Ascendr's product and engineering organization, with its Bangalore team serving as a product and engineering hub for the company. The team will support Ascendr's work on AI systems that help enterprises analyze complex technical information, connect insights to the evidence behind them, and make high-stakes technology decisions with clearer context.
The acquisition reflects Ascendr's focus on helping organizations move from AI-generated outputs to decision workflows they can review, trust, and act on. Teams in IP, R&D, research, innovation strategy, and competitive intelligence often need more than a summary or a confidence score. They need to know what the system found, what evidence it used, and which parts of the reasoning can be checked.

"At Ascendr, we are focused on evidence-grounded AI for decisions where trust matters," said George Koomullil, Founder and CEO of Ascendr. "The goal is not simply to generate an answer faster. It is to help users see the evidence behind the answer, understand the reasoning path, and separate what was inferred from what can be checked. Deepturn brings experienced product builders and AI engineers who know how to bring complex AI systems into real customer workflows. That combination will help us scale Ascendr's platform."
"Deepturn started with a simple goal: make AI useful for real business problems," said Ginish George, Founder of Deepturn. "Over the last 15 months, we learned that useful AI products are built through close customer understanding, fast iteration, and trust. Ascendr is focused on the same customer problem, but with a broader product vision. We are excited to join the team and help build a platform for high-stakes technology decisions."
Together, Ascendr and Deepturn will continue building Ascendr's platform for technology decision intelligence, with Bangalore serving as a key center for product development, engineering, and customer implementation.
