A fresh identity for a beloved youth program invites performers under 19 to take the stage and own their spotlight in downtown Baltimore.
BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- The Fashion Umbrella Foundation is proud to announce the official return of its beloved youth program—formerly known as the Youth OPEN Mic Series—under a dynamic new name: The Vibe. This exciting evolution debuts on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with a live performance event held in Downtown Baltimore.
Designed to spotlight the voices and talents of youth up to age 19, The Vibe builds on the legacy of the Youth OPEN Mic Series by creating a more inclusive and expressive platform for young performers. Whether through spoken word, dance, song, or theatrical performance, The Vibe invites emerging artists to speak it, move it, and own it.
"We're excited to reintroduce this program with a fresh identity and an even deeper commitment to youth expression," said Sharan Nixon, Founder of the Fashion Umbrella Foundation. "The Vibe isn't just a performance—it's a movement of empowerment and creativity."
