BALTIMORE, July 28, 2025 ~ As the staffing industry continues to evolve, one woman has stood out as a trailblazer and leader in the field. Wanda Smith, CEO of Symphony Placements, has been recognized for her contributions to the industry and her company's success.
With over 30 years of experience, Smith has transformed Symphony Placements into a nationally recognized staffing firm. Founded in 2006, the company specializes in temporary and supplemental staffing for both government and private sectors. Their consultative approach allows them to match clients with the right talent for various roles, including customer contact centers, medical services, administrative positions, and more.
At the age of 59, Smith launched Symphony Placements as a widow and has since grown it into a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), and Small Women Minority Business (SWARM) by Women's Business Enterprises National Council (WBENC). She is currently undergoing WOSB certification review. Under her leadership, the company has expanded from its roots in Baltimore to become a trusted national staffing partner.
