FACT is a nonprofit organization that sets standards for high-quality medical and laboratory practices in cellular therapies, specifically the transplantation of living cells into the body. The TGH Cancer Institute's cellular therapy program offers cutting-edge treatments such as Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy and stem cell transplants for patients with aggressive blood cancers like lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and leukemias. Dr. Ivan Borrello leads this program as medical director of Myeloma, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), and Cell Therapies within the TGH Cancer Institute. He joined Tampa General in 2022 from Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore.
