BALTIMORE, Sept. 12, 2024 ~ Sheppard Pratt, a leading mental healthcare provider, has recently announced the addition of three highly esteemed physicians to its medical staff leadership team. This decision reflects the organization's dedication to improving the quality of its programs and expanding its impact in the field of mental health.
One of the new additions is Dr. Rajeev Krishna, who joins Sheppard Pratt from Nationwide Children's Hospital. With over 15 years of experience in pediatric psychiatry, Dr. Krishna has held various leadership roles at Nationwide Children's Hospital, including associate chief of psychiatry for acute services and medical director for quality improvement and inpatient services. He also served as an associate professor at The Ohio State University Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Krishna completed his Doctor of Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and went on to pursue a General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System.

Another distinguished physician joining Sheppard Pratt is Dr. Michael Hann, who previously served as chief medical officer at Brook Lane Health Services. During his time there, he played a crucial role in establishing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services. Dr. Hann received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida International University and was the first MD/MBA graduate in the institution's history. He completed his General Psychiatry residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego and was recognized as a Laughlin Fellow by the American College of Psychiatry. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Hann also completed the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School.
Dr. Ronald Means is also joining Sheppard Pratt with extensive experience in outpatient care and community mental health. He previously served as chief medical officer at Catholic Charities of Baltimore, where he oversaw clinical care policies and supervised a team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. Dr. Means received his Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and completed his General Psychiatry Residency at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt. He also completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Maryland.

In addition to these new appointments, Dr. Louis J. Marino Jr. will continue to serve as chief of medical staff and medical director of geriatric services at Sheppard Pratt. In this role, he oversees adult and geriatric inpatient services.
