The page, originally created to support local writers and share timely updates, will now operate as the Prince George's County Writers Community.

Purpose and Context for the Update
The page was created during a period of limited statewide social media activity, when writers across several counties needed more consistent communication. The main MWA Facebook page has since become more active, reflecting a renewed focus on statewide engagement. With this shift, MWA leadership clarified that chapter‑level pages should not use the MWA name unless formally established through communications oversight. The Prince George's County page has been retitled to align with this guidance while continuing to serve local writers.
