ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 27, 2024) ~ As the Maryland State Fair enters its second long weekend of festivities, the Maryland Department of Agriculture is excited to showcase their support for the state's agriculture, farmers, and residents. The fair, which runs for two more weekends from August 29th to September 1st and September 5th to 8th at the State Fairgrounds in Timonium, will feature a variety of programs and activities highlighting the department's involvement in the industry.
One of the main attractions at the fair is the Cow Palace, where children's activities and agricultural displays will be set up. These displays will showcase over 20 of the department's programs and provide fairgoers with an opportunity to learn about the diverse industries within agriculture that MDA supports. Additionally, at Horseland near the Grandstand, the Maryland Horse Industry Board will be present to educate visitors about Maryland's thriving equine industry and offer valuable insights for horse enthusiasts.
