ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 4, 2026) ~ The Maryland Department of Agriculture has announced an extension for farmers to submit their Annual Implementation Reports (AIRs) for 2025 nutrient applications. The new deadline, April 1, 2026, applies to both farmers and Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs).
This decision was made in response to unforeseen printing issues that have delayed the mailing of personalized paper reporting forms for several regions in the state. The department acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause and has extended the deadline by one month to accommodate the delayed delivery.

The department expressed gratitude towards farmers who raised concerns about the original deadline and assured them that their feedback is valued. In light of this extension, farmers are reminded that they can also submit their reports electronically through Maryland OneStop. Those who are new to this option will need to register for an account.
For those who prefer paper reporting forms, blank forms can be downloaded from the department's website. Farmers can also reach out to their regional nutrient management office for more information.
