BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- Islamic Leadership Institute of America (ILIA) has been recognized and awarded as one of 10 service providers offering youth development and empowerment programming by Baltimore's Promise, Youth Grantmakers (YG).
After developing the RFP, reviewing 68 applications, and conducting site visits, the Youth Grantmakers made their final funding decisions, selecting 10 organizations. The Grantmakers received close to $6 million in requests, with only $525,000 to distribute, demonstrating the need for more investment in older youth in Baltimore.
Youth Grantmakers a permanent, youth-led grantmaking body through which public and private youth-serving resources can flow has awarded Islamic Leadership Institute of America $90,000 for leadership development programming.
