Hojicha Co. Introduces Authentic Matcha Crafted by Marukyu Koyamaen to the Shop
TORONTO - Marylandian -- HOJICHA TRADING CO. LTD. (Hojicha Co.), the original roasted green tea company is adding authentic matcha crafted in Uji, Kyoto to its online shop.
Through its collaboration with Marukyu Koyamaen, Hojicha Co. is hoping to share some of the finest matcha to enjoy both at home and at the cafe. Established in 1704, Marukyu Koyamaen is known for its exceptional matcha, and its focus on preserving the original taste of Japanese tea.
"Customers frequently asked us for matcha recommendations from a trusted brand," said Danielle Geva, co-founder of Hojicha Co. "We will now make it easier to buy authentic matcha directly in our shop."
Hojicha Co. will distribute the principal line of Marukyu Koyamaen matcha, as well as matcha that's suitable for baking. The initial release includes Matcha Isuzu which is perfect for preparing matcha lattes, Matcha Yugen which is a high quality matcha usually enjoyed without milk or sugar, and Matcha Kinrin, a higher grade matcha typically reserved for special occasions.

"Even though there are already countless matcha options on the market, and even though the matcha market appears to be saturated, consumers are still seeking to find high quality, authentic matcha outside of Japan," added Francois Mathieu, co-founder of Hojicha Co.
Marukyu Koyamaen matcha can be purchased online at hojicha.co/matcha. Hojicha Co. currently ships to customers within the United States, Canada, and Europe.
