CompTIA announces three learning sessions during TechNet Cyber 2024

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., June 6, 2024 ~ CompTIA, the leading nonprofit association for the IT industry and workforce, has announced its participation in TechNet Cyber 2024, a premier event for cybersecurity and IT professionals. The three-day conference will take place from June 25-27 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

As part of their involvement, CompTIA will be hosting three live learning sessions that aim to provide valuable insights and discussions on key topics in the industry. These sessions will feature experts and leaders in the field of data, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity.

Dr. James Stanger, chief technology evangelist at CompTIA, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. "Data, AI, and cybersecurity are crucial elements for both the Department of Defense and the tech industry," he stated. "We have brought in three authorities to delve into these topics and provide a deeper understanding of their complexities."

The first session titled "Navigating and Implementing DoDM 8140: A Comprehensive Discussion" will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at 10:45 a.m. EDT. Dr. Stanger will lead this discussion on equipping oneself with the necessary knowledge to meet impending deadlines as the DoD implements DoDM 8140.03.

The second session, "Practical AI Security: Unique Skills and Best Practices," is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 25. This three-hour session will feature Dr. Stanger along with three industry professionals who will discuss best practices for protecting AI platforms and data.

The final session, "CompTIA Instructor Network: Essential Tools for Instructors," will be conducted by Stephen Schneiter, director of CompTIA instructor network. This session will take place at 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 25 and will focus on the benefits of being a part of CIN - a global community of instructors and training organization administrators.

All three sessions will be live streamed through On24, providing an opportunity for those unable to attend the conference in person to still participate and gain valuable insights. Interested individuals can register for the sessions on CompTIA's website.

In addition to these sessions, CompTIA will also be announcing future events that CIN will host for instructors covering new and updated CompTIA products. This includes the newly updated CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Cloud certification exams, both launching in June.
