FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Experience the vibrant and boundary-pushing music of Pascuala Ilabaca at New Spire Arts on Saturday, March 29, at 7:30 PM. Hailing from Valparaíso, Chile, Ilabaca is a dynamic voice in Latin American and World Music, blending traditional Chilean folk with rock, jazz, and global influences. Her flamboyant performances and powerful voice have captivated audiences worldwide.

Over the past decade, Ilabaca has released multiple acclaimed albums and performed at major festivals, including WOMAD UK, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and Lollapalooza Chile. She has earned international recognition, winning the Pulsar Prize, Chile's most prestigious music award, and being named Best Artist by Songlines Magazine alongside renowned global musicians. Her latest albums, Lucero (2022), Alegriste (2023), and Porteña (2023), showcase her signature sound, blending poetic lyricism with rich instrumentation.
