BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- Career Communications Group (CCG), producers of the nationally recognized Women of Color STEM Conference, proudly announces that the event will now be officially known as the Waves of Change STEM Conference. This rebranding marks a significant evolution that reflects both the dynamic transformation underway in STEM fields and the enduring mission to empower women of color and those who support the advancement of women in STEM.
Crucially, the acronym "WOC" will remain in use interchangeably, preserving the brand's powerful history as the Women of Color STEM Conference while embracing a broader, future-ready identity as the Waves of Change STEM Conference. This dual usage underscores the conference's legacy and commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and leadership in the global STEM ecosystem.
"Waves of Change has always been more than a subtitle—it's the energy behind the movement, capturing our call to prepare, lead, and transform in a rapidly shifting world," said Tyrone D. Taborn, Chairman and CEO of Career Communications Group. "This name change recognizes our legacy, embraces new opportunities, and reaffirms our commitment to women of color and all champions of equity and excellence in STEM."
