FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- The Weinberg Center for the Arts and New Spire Arts located in Frederick, MD, present Las Áñez, The Hot Sardines, David Sedaris, TOAST – A Tribute to Bread, and TolumiDE as part of their 2026-27 season of events.
Las Áñez performs at New Spire Arts on Thursday, October 8 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $35. Las Áñez's combination of folklore and contemporary music has captivated listeners across America and Europe for eight years with their unique blend of folk and avant-garde. On stage, twin sisters sing their original Latin-American songs, filling the venue and pulling listeners into a hypnotic resounding ritual.
The Hot Sardines return to the Weinberg Center on Friday, October 9 at 8 pm. Tickets start at $25. Emerging a decade ago from the underground parties of Brooklyn to touring worldwide and recording a string of albums, The Hot Sardines' iconic brand of reinvigorated classic jazz landed them at the center of a whirlwind. Their latest recording, C'est La Vie, is a bilingual affair of vintage jazz standards and originals. The Sardines continue to tour, taking Banned Jazz on the road.
David Sedaris returns to the Weinberg Center on Saturday, October 10 at 8 pm. Tickets start at $40. Sedaris is one of America's pre-eminent humor writers—a master of satire and one of today's most observant authors. Join him for a 60-minute reading followed by questions from the audience.

Her performances are warm, engaging, and deeply connected, moving effortlessly between reflective moments and joyful, rhythmic grooves.
