BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rotunda Capital Partners ("Rotunda" or "RCP"), an operationally focused, lower middle market private equity firm, announces the successful final closing of its debut institutional private equity fund, Rotunda Capital Partners Fund II, L.P. (together with its parallel investment vehicle, "Fund II"). The fund closed on over $195 million of commitments, exceeding its original target of $175 million.
The new fund will allow RCP to continue backing family and founder owned companies in the value-added distribution, asset light logistics and the industrial/business services sectors. RCP was founded in 2009 as an independent sponsor and with Fund II, RCP now manages over $350 million in equity capital.
Fund II attracted strong interest, resulting in a diverse institutional investor base composed of leading insurance companies, hospital systems, foundations, funds of funds, family offices, as well as executives of companies where Rotunda professionals had previously invested.
