CHICAGO - Marylandian -- Regent Surgical Health has appointed Rusty Strange to serve as its new Chief Information Officer. As the nation's largest independent health system joint venture-focused ASC operator, Regent has tapped Strange to oversee technology strategy and information systems for the company and its affiliates.
"Rusty brings to Regent a successful track record and years of experience creating and managing IT solutions for healthcare while building excellent, collaborative teams," said Regent CEO Chris Bishop. "As the healthcare environment continues to evolve, the vision and leadership skills demonstrated throughout Rusty's career are exactly what we need to meet the technological challenges ahead that will continue to aid Regent in delivering the highest quality service. Strange comes to Regent from AMSURG where he served in a variety of IT and leadership roles during his 17-year tenure, including Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Operations and most recently Vice President of AMSURG IT.
He was appointed as an Advisory Board Member at Tennessee CIO Leadership Association in 2020 and continues to serve as an executive peer leader. He is also actively involved in Tennessee HIMSS, the Greater Nashville Technology Council, and the Nashville Health Care Council.
