KINUGAWA, Japan - Marylandian -- On May 1, 2024, Tobu Railway and Cross Project Group, Inc. – with expertise in operating outdoor businesses across Japan – opened "Nikko Takatoku Camping Station" at Takatoku-Nakaiwa River Park in Nikko City, near Shin Takatoku Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line. Up to 70 families and groups can easily enjoy unburdened camping with their "Rent it All" policy at the site, which allows campers to just come as they are with the clothes on their back, with all other necessities completely provided.

In other words, while it is common for campers to fill their automobiles with extensive camping gear, this Camping Station offers a new style of camping, where even novice campers can arrive by train unencumbered and rent a full lineup of camping equipment and other items onsite.

The facility has excellent accessibility. Tobu railway passengers simply alight at Shin Takatoku Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line, just 120 minutes from Asakusa Station and 100 minutes from Kita Senju Station in Tokyo.
