~ The Pesticide Advisory Committee will be holding a virtual meeting on July 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The meeting will be accessible through the call link https://meet.google.com/urc-tjmb-ddq. The committee, chaired by Dr. Frederick Kutz, will begin with introductory comments and a roll call of committee members. The minutes from previous meetings in October 2024 and April 2025 will also be approved.
The main agenda for the meeting includes discussions on non-chemical methods for mosquito control such as ditching, as well as updates on the Maryland Department of Agriculture's mosquito control activities led by Acting Program Manager Scott Larzelere. Additionally, Rob Hofstetter will provide updates on the Pesticide Program's funding, personnel, disposal, and recycling for the year 2026.

New business will also be addressed before opening up for public comment at 11:30 am. The meeting will be recorded and members of the public who wish to speak are allotted a maximum of five minutes. Those who would like to submit documentation for review by committee members can do so via email at pest.reg@maryland.gov with "Pesticide Advisory Committee Documents" in the subject line.
