~ The Maryland Horse Industry Board (MHIB) has announced that they will be holding a meeting on October 17, 2024 at 10 A.M. The meeting will take place at the Second Floor Conference Room of Equine Veterinary Care, located at Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, MD.
The meeting, which will be hosted by Dr. Kathy Anderson, a renowned figure in equine medicine and former AAEP President, will cover various topics including Horse Board initiatives, member updates, and reports from stable inspectors.
Attendees can expect to receive current information and engage in discussions about the Horse Board's initiatives. Updates from board members and reports from stable inspectors will also be shared during the meeting.

In addition to the informative session, lunch will be provided for all attendees. Following lunch, there will be a tour of the facility and an opportunity to attend the first day of the 5-Star dressage competition at the MARS MD 5 Star at Fair Hill presented by Brown Advisory. The dressage competition is scheduled to start at 2 PM.
Those interested in attending are requested to RSVP to Anne Litz at anne.litz@maryland.gov by October 9, 2024. This is necessary for an accurate count for lunch and General Admission tickets to the 5 Star event.
Prior to the meeting, a detailed agenda, minutes from the previous board meeting held on September 12, 2024, project updates, and a financial summary will be sent out to all attendees.
