Maryland Farm & Harvest to Visit Locations Throughout Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore During November 18 Episode

ANNAPOLIS, MD (November 13, 2025) ~ Maryland Public Television's popular original series, Maryland Farm & Harvest, is back for its 13th season and will be featuring farms and locations in Baltimore City and four counties - Anne Arundel, Caroline, Carroll, and Talbot. The episode is set to premiere on Tuesday, November 18 and a preview is already available on the series' webpage at mpt.org/farm.

The show airs every Tuesday at 7 p.m. on MPT and can also be streamed online at mpt.org/livestream. For those who miss the live broadcast, episodes are available to watch on demand using the free PBS app or MPT's online video player.

Maryland Farm & Harvest takes viewers on a journey across the state, showcasing the farms, people, and technology that make up Maryland's number one commercial industry - agriculture. The episode will begin with an introduction filmed at One Straw Farm in White Hall (Baltimore County) before diving into three unique stories.

The first story follows Mike Greaves of Mike & Sons Mechanical Services as he travels across Anne Arundel, Caroline, and Talbot counties to help smaller farms with equipment maintenance and repairs. With his truck full of tools, Greaves is always ready to save the day for farmers in need.

Next up is Clear Ridge Nursery in Baltimore City and Carroll County. Led by volunteer groups such as Midtown Baltimore, this urban greening project aims to beautify landscapes, improve population health, and increase property values by planting trees and plants along sidewalks. Viewers will learn about founder Joe Barley's commitment to family and passion for reforestation that has helped the farm succeed. They will also follow one batch of trees from Clear Ridge Nursery all the way to public land in Baltimore City.

The final story features Chef Matt Lego of Leo in Annapolis as he joins renowned photographer Jay Fleming to catch invasive blue catfish in the Chesapeake Bay. After a successful catch, Lego returns to the kitchen to prepare sautéed blue catfish and grits for the two to enjoy. Viewers can even download the recipe and learn more about the invasive species on mpt.org/farm.

Since its debut in 2013, Maryland Farm & Harvest has attracted over 19 million viewers on the statewide public TV network. The series has visited more than 500 farms, fisheries, and other agriculture-related locations in all of Maryland's counties, as well as Baltimore City and Washington D.C.
