FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Get ready for an electrifying night of music as Mama Fuma takes the stage at New Spire Arts on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 7:30 PM. This dynamic duo, featuring bassist Ariel de la Portilla and powerhouse vocalist Nikki Guerra, is set to ignite the venue with their unique fusion of Latin spice and funky Southern rock. The performance is part of the Tivoli Discovery Series, which showcases emerging artists making waves in the music industry.
Tickets are $10 in advance or pay what you want at the door and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street.
Hailing from Miami, Mama Fuma is known for their high-energy performances that blend original compositions with fresh, reimagined renditions of iconic songs. Their repertoire celebrates legends such as Janis Joplin, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Buena Vista Social Club, The Rolling Stones, and James Brown, delivering each track with twice the funk and all the soul. Their feel-good tribute jams create an atmosphere that moves and inspires audiences of all ages.
