DonnaInk Publications announces his passing and the forthcoming release of Astonishing Travel Tales.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Marylandian -- — DonnaInk Publications, L.L.C. announces with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow the passing of Wayne Tatum—author, satirist, humorist, and steadfast man of Christian faith. Known for his sharp wit, principled nature, and unwavering conviction, Tatum leaves behind a literary legacy defined by satire, warmth, and a bluesman's sense of rhythm.
Wayne Tatum was a writer who insisted on integrity in every detail. Whether requesting that his work be represented in alignment with his faith or ensuring that promotional materials reflected his values, he approached the publishing process with clarity, conviction, and a mischievous sparkle that endeared him to colleagues and readers alike. His storytelling blended intelligence with levity, inviting readers to laugh, reflect, and rediscover the extraordinary within the ordinary.

"Wayne tracked me down one afternoon and spent four hours in conversation before he inquiring about publication," said DonnaInk Publisher Donna Quesinberry. "That call marked the beginning of a creative partnership I will always treasure. Bringing his work to readers—and to the Surrattsville community he cherished—has been one of the great privileges of my publishing career."
Tatum's published works include Quarantina ~ A Quodlibet and Illustrated Tales for the Easily Entertained, both celebrated for their humor, insight, and uniquely Tatum‑esque voice. His newest and final title, Astonishing Travel Tales, will be released by DonnaInk Publications in April 2026. This luminous collection features reimagined favorites and brand‑new adventures, capturing the worldly curiosity, gentle brilliance, and faith‑infused humor that defined his writing. The Foreword for this final volume was contributed by John Previti, a celebrated musician known for his distinguished career in jazz, swing, and roots performance, whose tribute adds a meaningful artistic dimension to the work.

"We believe Heavenly Father has welcomed Wayne into glory," Quesinberry added. "His talent was a blessing and knowing him was an honor. He will be deeply missed and forever celebrated."
