FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Gangstagrass, the band breaking musical boundaries by blending bluegrass and hip-hop, will take the stage at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Gangstagrass combines the traditions of bluegrass and hip-hop into a groundbreaking musical genre that defies convention, bridging cultural divides through an unforgettable blend of banjo, fiddle, hip-hop beats, and verbal acrobatics. Known for their Emmy-nominated theme song for FX's Justified, the multi-racial collective has toured extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, captivating audiences with their energy and soul. Their fifth studio album, No Time For Enemies, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart, making history as the first time hip-hop MCs topped the genre.
