FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Gangstagrass, the band breaking musical boundaries by blending bluegrass and hip-hop, will take the stage at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Known for their unique sound and message of unity, Gangstagrass delivers an unforgettable experience that brings audiences of all backgrounds together.
Tickets start at $28 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.
Gangstagrass combines the traditions of bluegrass and hip-hop into a groundbreaking musical genre that defies convention, bridging cultural divides through an unforgettable blend of banjo, fiddle, hip-hop beats, and verbal acrobatics. Known for their Emmy-nominated theme song for FX's Justified, the multi-racial collective has toured extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, captivating audiences with their energy and soul. Their fifth studio album, No Time For Enemies, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart, making history as the first time hip-hop MCs topped the genre. Featured on America's Got Talent and praised by The New York Times as "The Music America Needs," Gangstagrass has been dubbed "America's Band" by Americana Highways for their electrifying performances and message of unity.
