FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Acclaimed author Celeste Ng will appear at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM as part of the Frederick Speaker Series. With a voice that is both powerful and nuanced, Ng has captivated millions with her bestselling novels Everything I Never Told You, Little Fires Everywhere, and Our Missing Hearts.
Tickets start at $45 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.
Ng's work explores themes of identity, family, race, and resilience, earning her a place among today's most important literary voices. Her novels have been translated into over thirty languages and adapted for the screen, including Hulu's Emmy-nominated limited series Little Fires Everywhere, starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. A graduate of Harvard University and the Helen Zell Writers' Program at the University of Michigan, Ng is also the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her fiction and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, and other prominent outlets.
