FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- TM Design, a women-owned design firm that specializes in serving local, regional, and national clients who want to push the boundaries on brand excellence, has won a prestigious 2019 MarCom Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (ACMP). The annual competition recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals in the production and design of marketing and communications media.
Designed by owner and graphic designer Tina Cardosi, the award-winning Water and Energy for Food Innovator Guidebook: Navigating Business Models for the Base of the Pyramid in Water and Energy for Food is a practical handbook for innovators in emerging markets. Donna Vincent Roa, an international development professional and brand expert from The Kaizen Company, served as the brand identity production manager for the 104-page document.

The Innovator Guidebook, which was unveiled October 23 in San Francisco at Social Capital Markets (SOCAP) event, won the 2019 MarCom Gold Award in the Print Media, Design (Print) category for its precision in layout and design, visual creativity, and its implementation of the Water and Energy for Food modern brand identity.
Each year, the ACMP receives about 6,000 entries from companies all over the world, as well as from marketing and design agencies, public relations firms, and more. Judges are professionals from within the industry who look for entries that exemplify a high standard of excellence and set the bar for others in the marketing, communications, and graphic design fields. The MarCom Awards Competition is one of the largest most-respected competitions in the world.
