Founder of the CDMA Business Model® Honored for Achievement, Leadership, and Community Impact at New York County Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, Md. - Marylandian -- ShaNette Carpenter, founder of the CDMA Business Model® and a nationally recognized workforce development leader, was recognized at the 2026 NYC Her Future TrailblazHER Awards in the "I Am Her" category at the New York County Supreme Court.

Presented by NYC Her Future in collaboration with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and the New York City Mayor's Office, the recognition marked a powerful close to Women's History Month and celebrated women making meaningful impact across New York City.

ShaNette's certificate recognized her for remarkable achievement, leadership, and dedication to creating meaningful impact in the community.

"Legacy doesn't wait to be acknowledged. It continues to move."
-ShaNette

ShaNette's recognition reflects a legacy more than 100 years in the making. That legacy includes a great-grandmother who operated an employment agency and a business school during a defining era of Black enterprise, education, and resilience. That family history is preserved at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, part of The New York Public Library.
