BALTIMORE - Marylandian -- The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum (BRBM) the nation's authority on Babe Ruth history and memorabilia opens a new exhibit showcasing 17 Maryland milestones in sports entitled CHAMPIONS. This exhibit, to be housed in the BRBM theatre will showcase Maryland teams, athletes, coaches and major sports victories throughout the decades.
"For a relatively small state, Maryland comes up big when it comes to sports heritage," says Shawn Herne, Executive Director. "From the local legends depicted in our Mt. Rushmore display to the left to the championship teams and athletes featured here, Maryland sporting tradition is second to none. Champions offers 17 snapshots into the athletes and teams representing our "Old Line" state, celebrating their great achievements and their glory."
In addition to this newly curated exhibit, the museum will celebrate with a signed, limited edition (200) poster featuring art of the Baltimore Orioles 1983 World Series Championship Trophy and the Baltimore Colts Super Bowl V Lombardi Trophy, signed by Baltimore Colt legend, Jim O'Brien and Orioles Hall of Famer, Scott McGregor. The posters ($125 + shipping) will be available at the museum and online starting September 10, 2020 at 10AM.
