ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 12, 2024) ~ Annapolis, MD - Maryland's Best, a program dedicated to promoting agriculture and seafood under the Maryland Department of Agriculture, is on the lookout for participants for their upcoming "Eat Like a Marylander" Thanksgiving promotion. This seasonal marketing campaign aims to showcase local farmers and markets that offer packaged holiday meals using locally sourced produce and protein.
According to Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks, the goal of this promotion is to encourage consumers to support local producers not just during the holiday season but throughout the year. "It's never too early to start planning for a locally sourced Thanksgiving meal," he stated.

To be eligible for participation in this promotion, farmers and markets must meet certain criteria. The meal boxes must include Maryland produce and at least two protein options, with one of them being Maryland seafood. Additionally, participants must either be a registered Maryland's Best producer or be willing to sign up for a free account.
