Annapolis, MD (September 23, 2025) ~ Annapolis, MD - The Maryland Horse Industry Board, an advisory board under the Maryland Department of Agriculture, has announced the launch of a new digital hub, MarylandHorsePark.org. This website is dedicated to promoting and regulating the Maryland horse industry and will serve as a centralized platform to showcase the state's world-class equine venues, educational resources, and tourism opportunities. The official launch of this website coincides with the start of Maryland Horse Month on October 1st.
Thanks to a grant from the Maryland Department of Commerce Offices of Tourism & Film, MarylandHorsePark.org is now live and ready to welcome visitors. According to Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Kevin Atticks, this website is more than just a platform - it's an invitation for people to explore and experience all that the state's equine assets have to offer.

The website highlights four "pillars" of equestrian excellence in Maryland: Fair Hill Special Events Zone, Prince George's Equestrian Center, Maryland Horse Library & Education Center, and Pimlico Race Course Redevelopment. These venues are home to various events such as the annual Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, one of only two CCI5*-L eventing competitions in the United States; The Races at Fair Hill; Washington International Horse Show; Capital Challenge Horse Show; Bill Picket Rodeo; and the Preakness Stakes.
With an annual value of $2.9 billion and ranking among the state's top agricultural and tourism sectors, Maryland's horse industry is a significant contributor to its economy. This new website aims to make it easier for both residents and visitors to access information about these equestrian destinations. Some features include trip planning tools for signature horse venues and riding trails, finding licensed stables and organizations through their Horse Discovery Center program, discovering equine events across the state, accessing educational materials about the industry's impact on economy, environment, and culture, and staying updated on upcoming initiatives such as October Horse Month and the Preakness Festival Farm Tours.
