ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 09, 2026) ~ The Maryland Department of Agriculture has extended several fall cover crop grant deadlines because recent weather has affected planting operations.
The deadline for aerial seeding, incorporated seeding incentives, and oats and mixes containing legumes or brassicas has moved from Oct. 10 to Oct. 15, 2026, the department said. The extensions are intended to give participating farmers more time to plant and meet grant requirements, while supporting local water quality.
