LAUREL, Md. - Marylandian -- Blavity.org awarded Lola Pyne, owner of Oasis Soul Scent Co., acceptance into the 2023 Growth Fellowship Program for Black entrepreneurs, small businesses, and creatives. Oasis Soul Scent Co. is a Maryland-based candle and scented goods company whose products are inspired by soulful music. Its offerings include an array of luxurious candles, body scrubs, body oils, sprays, and shower steamers.

The program awarded the 12 selected 2023 Blavity.org fellows with a four-week virtual fellowship that includes:

• a $10K non-dilutive grant  
• in-person training with Morgan DeBaun, Founder Blavity Inc and fully sponsored attendance at CEO Spring Break in Punta Uva, Costa Rica held May 26^th- 30^th, 2023
• fundraising and VC 101 with Collide Capital
• leveraging data and technology with Jeff Nelson, Co-Founder of Blavity Inc
• media pitching/PR and creative/branding with Blavity Inc Staff
