Boutique investment banking & strategy firm LCC Asia Pacific continues to support the Space Economy with sponsorship of one of Australia's flagship cubesat & nanosat events.
SYDNEY - Marylandian -- Following our attendance in 2025, LCC Asia Pacific is pleased to announce its sponsorship of CubeSatPlus 2026, hosted by the Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research (ACSER) at UNSW Sydney on 1–2 September 2026.
CubeSatPlus is an important meeting point for Australia and the region's rapidly developing CubeSat and small-satellite community, bringing together scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, students, industry and policymakers. The outstanding 2025 event led directly to our decision to sponsor this year.
The 2026 theme — "Youth in Space: Building an Ecosystem" — emphasises students, early-career professionals and emerging leaders who will shape Australia's space industry. Developing this talent is critical to Australia's ability to compete globally.
LCC Asia Pacific has developed specialist expertise across the space and advanced-technology sectors, working at the intersection of technology, capital and commercialisation. The firm supports space and technology companies through capital raisings, M&A and strategic advice, IP strategy and commercialisation, with particular expertise across Earth observation, satellite technologies, defence, critical infrastructure and related advanced engineering applications.

Our sponsorship of CubeSatPlus reflects both this sector focus and our commitment to supporting the next generation of Australian space companies and technologies.
Australia's space sector presents an outstanding commercial opportunity combining scientific research, advanced engineering, sovereign capability and investment. Small satellites are lowering barriers to space-based applications across Earth observation, communications, maritime domain awareness, environmental monitoring, defence and other data-intensive applications.
Nicholas Assef, LCC Asia Pacific's Founder & Managing Director, said supporting CubeSatPlus is also about supporting the people behind these technologies.
"Australia has outstanding scientific and engineering capability. The opportunity is to combine that technical excellence with the capital, commercial expertise and institutional ecosystem required to build globally competitive space businesses."
Universities are fundamental to this process, providing both the research foundations for emerging technologies and an environment in which students, researchers and industry can collaborate and develop new capabilities.

Space-based infrastructure is increasingly an enabling layer for the broader economy. Earth observation, communications, positioning, surveillance and environmental intelligence are supporting industries ranging from resources and energy to maritime operations, infrastructure and national security.
Developing sovereign Australian space capability requires more than technology alone. It requires talent, capital, commercial discipline and clear pathways from research to market.
LCC Asia Pacific looks forward to participating in CubeSatPlus 2026 and engaging with the researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders building the next generation of Australian space capability.
