HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Marylandian -- Governor Wes Moore Recognizes Virtuous Women of Valor and Heart of Tabitha Foundation for Community Impact in Maryland
Prince George's County, MD — Virtuous Women of Valor, founded by Dr. Rose Subryan, and the Heart of Tabitha Foundation, founded by Jazmyn McKoy, have been formally recognized by Governor Wes Moore and First Lady Dawn Moore for their outstanding contributions to empowering communities across the State of Maryland.
During the recent "Come Up Higher" Empowerment Event, both organizations were honored with an official Governor's Citation and Letter of Greeting, acknowledging their leadership, service, and lasting impact on women, youth, and families.
Virtuous Women of Valor was recognized for its commitment to empowering women through faith, leadership, and community engagement, inspiring individuals to walk boldly in their purpose.

In partnership, the Heart of Tabitha Foundation was recognized for its work in supporting youth from under-resourced communities, ages 14–21, by providing access to education, mentorship, and career development opportunities. Over the past 12 years, the Foundation has served more than 1,600 students across Montgomery County and Prince George's County, contributing to increased pathways to graduation and long-term success.
The "Come Up Higher" event brought together community leaders, educators, advocates, and families for a powerful experience that included a Scholarship and Awards Ceremony, a Resource Fair, and an Empowerment Panel Discussion.
This recognition affirms the continued commitment of both organizations to strengthening communities, expanding opportunities, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
